城ヶ島でLet’s！ダンゴウオ探し🍡

ダンゴウオが見たくて見たくてたまらない！？であろう総勢１２名のダイバーで神奈川の城ヶ島へ🚌

スタッフも全員出動で潜ってきました🤿

夏のような盛り上がりです👏

城ヶ島のビーチは浅いので、エアーの減りを気にせずにじっくりと生物探しができます😄

合計３０個の目でダンゴウオを探しへ🔍

こういう海藻を一枚一枚ていねいに見て、岩を舐めまわすように見たりと地道な作業👀

しかし、これが結構面白いんです💡

じっくりマクロな視点で探していくと、自分でウミウシやギンポがどんどん見つかります🐠

誰かが見つけてくれた生物よりも、自分で発見した方がより愛着が湧くもんです📸

ome divers just have to see a tiny lumpfish at least once in their lives… right?

With that mission in mind, a total of 12 divers headed to Jogashima in Kanagawa. Every member of our staff joined the search as well, making it 15 of us in the water—the energy felt just like the middle of summer!

Jogashima’s beach dive site is relatively shallow, which means we can take our time exploring without worrying too much about our air consumption.

So with 30 eyes scanning the ocean, the hunt for the elusive lumpfish began.

The search itself is surprisingly simple… and a bit obsessive.
Carefully checking each piece of seaweed, slowly scanning the rocks as if polishing them with our eyes. It’s patient work.

But honestly, that’s part of the fun.

When you start looking closely with a true macro diver’s perspective, suddenly you begin discovering things on your own—nudibranchs, blennies, and other tiny creatures hiding in plain sight.

And every diver knows this feeling:
Finding a creature yourself is always more special than being shown one by someone else.

And the most important question…

Even if we didn’t, spending a day in the ocean with friends who share the same love for diving is always the real treasure.
