亀に会える、大瀬崎✨

こんにちは！大橋です🤗

西伊豆は大瀬崎で潜ってきました🤿

大瀬崎の浅瀬は海藻とサルパ(ホヤの仲間)で大賑わいです💡

浅場をのんびり泳いでいたら、枕木がありました🌲

なんだか本栖湖の水中を思い出します😁

それにしても凄い数のサルパ。避けるのは不可能で顔に当たり続けてます。

なんだか幻想的です👏

少し前までは「大瀬崎の水中でウミガメに会えた！」といえば珍しかったのに、今では毎日見られてます🐢

もちろん、この日もいつもの場所にいてくれました✨

首のフジツボを取りたいのか無我夢中で岩に体を擦り付けてます🪨

いつまで大瀬崎にいてくれるかは分からないので会いたい方はお早めに👍

見どころ盛りだくさんな大瀬崎は、やっぱり面白い😊

We headed to Osezaki in West Izu for a dive! 🌊

The shallow area of Osezaki is currently buzzing with life. Seaweed forests are everywhere, and the water is filled with salps (relatives of sea squirts), creating a truly unique underwater scene.

While slowly cruising through the shallow water, we suddenly came across an old railroad sleeper lying underwater.
For a moment, it reminded me of the underwater scenery of Lake Motosu. It felt a bit mysterious and nostalgic at the same time.

But the most impressive thing?
The sheer number of salps!

There are so many that avoiding them is basically impossible—they keep bumping into your face while you swim.
Strangely enough, it makes the whole dive feel dreamlike and almost surreal.

Not long ago, seeing a sea turtle in Osezaki was considered something very rare.
But now, it’s becoming an everyday sight!

Of course, we met one on this dive too.
It was right in its usual spot, completely focused on rubbing its body against the rocks—probably trying to remove the barnacles attached to its neck.

No one knows how long this turtle will continue to stay in Osezaki, so if you want to meet it, now is the time! 🐢
